“Come From Away” Musical Celebrates Humanity and Compassion, Runs November 29 through December 2

The heartwarming and inspiring musical “Come From Away” is set to run from November 29 through December 2 at the Atwood Concert Hall. The show tells the true story of a small community in Newfoundland that welcomed 7,000 strangers stranded after the events of September 11, 2001. In a beautiful display of humanity and compassion, the community opened their doors to those in need during a time of tragedy.

In a unique partnership, Broadway Alaska has teamed up with Catholic Social Services (CSS) to highlight the stories of local refugees in Alaska. As part of their community engagement efforts, they will be collecting winter gear to support these families as they transition to life in the state. The winter gear collection will take place from November 29 through December 10, with CSS accepting donations at any time. Attendees of the musical will also have the opportunity to contribute in various ways during all performances.

To learn more about the musical “Come From Away” and the partnership between Broadway Alaska and Catholic Social Services, President & Chief Operating Officer of Alaska Center for the Performing Arts and General Manager of Broadway Alaska, Codie Costello, and State Refugee Coordinator for CSS, Issa Spatrisano, will be sharing more information.

Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to experience a powerful story of kindness and community, while also supporting local refugees in need. Get your tickets for “Come From Away” and join in on the efforts to make a difference in the lives of others.
